Alzerina Jewelry from NYC has its roots in the island of San Antao, Cape Verde as jewelry and clothing designer Alzerina Gomes comes from the remote village called Portalzinho Garca. At the age of four, she took the first few lessons in sewing from her mother. Later on, the Swarovski crystals fueled her love and passion for the art of jewelry design.

Since she is recognized profoundly in the Fashion industry as well, Alzerina won an award in July 2016 at the La Jolla International Film Festival. And soon in November 2016, the governor of the City Hall in Rome, Italy honored her amidst an event with the Kriol-Ita organization to support the Batista de Sousa hospital.
